RECREATION
Restaurants are close by as is the popular Ohiwa Oyster Farm. Ohope and the Whakatane area have much to offer visitors and trips to volcanic White Island, fishing, jet boating, diving, swimming with dolphins are easily arranged.

Host Pat Rafter's interests are philosophy, theology, history, English literature, the making of grape wines and all spirits, golf, bowls, music and tramping. Many of the dog patrons have been returning to The Rafters for 26 years and most clients are doggy people. Pat looks forward to your company and assures you unique hospitality.

Directions: on reaching Ohope Beach turn right, proceed 2km to 261A (beach-side) name "Rafters" on a brick letterbox with illuminated B&B sign.
