Dogs have roamed continents to find their way home, risked their life to rescue us and held a vigil at their owner’s grave – this is the bond we dream of. But the relationship can take a different turn. What is it that makes one dog lay down its life for us and another ignores us?A dog can be your best friend or a real challenge, what you get depends on you!
Trainimals doesn’t promise impossible overnight miracles, but we will take the time to see what’s really going on. We take the time to understand your dog and look beyond symptoms to address the root of the problem.
Trainimals has worked with dogs of all sorts of behaviour from destroying and barking to biting and those on their final warning. With time and patience it is possible to find a good solution for everyone.
We use positive methods combined with calm body language to work with your dog’s natural instincts and work in a way that suits your learning style, personality and pace.

Trainimals is fully qualified both in Europe and New Zealand. We work closely with several Canterbury veterinary clinics, the Dogwatch Adoption Centre in Bromley and K9Natural Dog food Company.

She learned the essential commands like "stay" "leave it" "heel" and "come" really quickly, which kept her safe and meant she could be walked off leash early on. She's now two and gets compliments on her behaviour often. I can't recommend Trainimals more highly. Els is extremely knowledgeable, and seems to have a heart connection with every dog she meets. (She's also really good at training the owners out of their mistaken beliefs and unhelpful behaviours, so that dogs and their two-legged companions can live in harmony.) Her classes are affordable and fun, and her advice on nutrition is invaluable. "
